Australia won the toss and chose to bat first . The opening pair of Aaron Finch and David warner disappointed the Australian side by adding only 36 runs as a duo. Hard hitter Shane Watson lost his wicket for just two runs to the magical bowler Sunil Narine.Glenn Maxwell came to the rescue and scored 45 runs and Hodge scored 35 runs to make Australia reach a total of 178/8 in 20 overs . West Indies defending a total of 179 was given a good start by Gayle who scored 53 runs of 35 balls . soon West Indies collapsed for 107/3 . But the chase was successfully lead Dwayne Bravo and skipper Sammy who scored 27 and 34 runs respectively. West Indies thrashed Australia by 6 wickets .
